MEDITATION ON THE HARMONIC SERIES III - For sine tones, voice, bell (2024)

After a period of research in Turin's state conservatory library, while on residency at Associazione Barriera, this work reimagined "Adoramus, Chant for the day of the Holy Shroud" by Giovanni Antonio Giay, chapel master of the Royal Chapel of the Shroud from 1732 to 1758. After extracting elements of its harmonic structure and transposing into a just tuning system, the work was composed for sine tones, voice, and a bespoke bell, crafted by Hyperobjects.
